The Beginning


A great entrepreneurship began with 2 young brothers Kien (16) and Hong (17) providing sliced chinese medicines such as Yang Sheng, Bei Qi and Dang Gui to Chinese Medicine Halls.

They believe with the idea of providing pre-sliced medicines services would result in efficiency and effectiveness for the Chinese Medicine Halls.

As time goes by, their honesty and hardwork started to gain fame within the Chinse Medicine Halls throughout the nation.

The Progress


Business slowly expands. Woon (29) their third brother, who was working in the corporate bank, felt that he has more to offer in the business rather than climbing the corporate ladder.

He took a huge risk to join hands with his brothers and offered to refine the company.

The Transformation


Within a year, Woon transformed their business model from Partnership to a Private limited company, knowingly that it would be better if the business could grow bigger and becoming more stable under a "Company". The Company name Kien Heng Hong Ginseng Sdn Bhd was formed.

Goldfish Brand


The Goldfish Brand was created. Bird's Nest has been the core product of this Company. They were able to seek out solutions to produce the bottled bird's nest with modern technologies, being one of the pioneers to produce "Bird's Nest in the Bottle" in Malaysia.

The Golden Era of Goldfish Brand


Business has grown tremendously, and most Goldfish Brand products can be seen in all Chinese Traditional Herb Stores.

At the same time Tong (28), the youngest brother has joined the directorship. Tong and Woon are both professional accounting graduates. Having the skill sets, both are able advance the company even better.

The Beginning of GINYI


With Strong competition, other similar brands with the name "Goldfish" and counterfeits had emerged.

Hence, they have decided to re-trademark their brand and they came out with the name GINYI 金余.

The Chinese Character "余" represents wealth and prosperity.

Present - Upgrade with the Change of Times


Ginyi 金余 has remained to be an established brand name for the past 30 years.

Today, the company aims to achieve greater heights with the addition of their second generation to penetrate the online market as well as promoting tasty traditional Chinese products to young generations.
